NEW! The first Lavender Festival - Summer Fair 11-5pm 22nd June 2008

Lavender Hill will host London's first ever Lavender Festival on 22nd June 2008.

Adopting the theme of the plant which grew here lastly at the end of the 17th century, we will celebrate the history of our corner of South West London by having a street-long party. The day will include fun and games provided by all the traders, such as an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most Ferrero Rocher eaten in one minute!

There will be a particular focus on Food and Drink - visitors will have the chance to sample great food from all over the world, thanks to the vast and varied collection of eateries located along our street.

We are running an art and a history competition through all the local schools and the Mayor's office will award prizes to the winning entries on the day. Keep up to date with the plans by visiting the dedicated page to this event on LavenderHill.co.uk , as we will update it as they unfold.

If you are interested in being involved with this worthy community event, then please get in contact immediately with This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it - she will be happy to hear from you.

So please, add this NEW DATE to your diary and we will look forward to seeing you on Lavender Hill for London's first ever Lavender Festival!

With thanks,

The Team @ LavenderHill.co.uk
