Excellent. I went in and ordered a take-away early yesterday evening (a Saturday night). It was very quiet but is really nicely furnished with Sri Lankan/ India decorations, feels very comfortable and enticing.
I sat at the bar and had a lion beer whilst waiting. The staff were very friendly and brought beer accompaniments: pakoda and poppadom, both of which were delicious. I had the selected fish cutlets for starters, then seasonable vegetable curry (ochre), with samba ponni rice and a veechu rotti. I was impressed and thoroughly enjoyed all. The unusual menu and accompanying quality of food reminded me of Shree Krishna in Tooting. And that's a compliment indeed! Ceylon Tavern is my new preferred restaurant on Lavender Hill and I'll be eating here regularly. Results 1 - 1 of 1
